Day 1: Hanoi arrival

Welcome to Vietnam, to begin our North and Central Vietnam Tours 8 days, the guide and driver from Premium Travel Vietnam will come and meet you upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, we then transfer you to the city center for checking in. The rest of the day is at leisure. In the afternoon, you can wander around on your own exploring Hanoi by foot or enjoy some of Hanoi’s specialties.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour

In the morning, after breakfast at your hotel, our local guide will come to select you and then we commence Hanoi city tour. Thus, part of our morning tour will include a visit with a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s oldest and most beautiful temples. Upon reaching here, you can have a strong understanding of the country’s religion. We next proceed to Ba Dinh Square, where the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a house on stilts, and the One Pillar Pagoda are located. Through the guided tour, you know much more about the most respectful person in Vietnam – Uncle Ho as well as finding out how simple and humble his life and cause was back to the early times.

We continue our North Vietnam Tour to Vietnam’s first university, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature).

In the afternoon, our tour moves on with a walking tour of the French and Old Quarters, one of Vietnam’s most popular tourist destinations. Hence, we will take the opportunity to stop by the Opera House, and sightseeing Ngoc Son Temple in the heart of Hanoi, a visit to Dong Xuan Traditional Market where you can taste the local life of residents, and finally to Museum of Ethnology where you have an insight into 54 minority groups living in Vietnam. Interestingly, during our tour, you may try some of Hanoi favorites like Pho, Banh Mi pate, or Banh Cuon.

End the day is to transfer you back to the hotel. You will overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Transfer to Halong Bay – Halong Bay visit

Our North and Central Vietnam Tours 8 days keep going in the morning with a smooth private car transfer from Hanoi to Halong Bay. In this 4 hr drive, you might admire the peaceful scenery of Vietnamese countryside.

At arriving in Halong Bay, you are welcomed by our crew team with welcome drinks and then we are ready to escort you to the cabin room.

After resting for a while on board, the afternoon activities will include a voyage in the magnificent Bay with exciting activities such as cruising among limestone islands, exploring the Cave, swimming, and kayaking.

Day 4: Halong Bay discovery

As the sun rises over the Bay, our North and Central Vietnam Tours 8 days proceeds with a Taichi lesson on board while getting the first sunlight of the day. After your breakfast, our cruise Halong will take you deep further inside the bay, visiting some of landmarks here such as Sung Sot cave where you grab an illuminated view inside the  cave. Continue the trip with sightseeing Titop Island and other famous caves in this region.

Later, we will enjoy lunch around noon, and finally disembark the cruise for your transfer to Hanoi or Noi Bai airport for your next flight to Da Nang.

Day 5: My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An city tour full day

A part of our unmissable thing to do in central Vietnam is to visit My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient town. Therefore, our North and Central Vietnam Tours 8 days move forward to southwest of Hoi An ancient town to the former holy site of Cham people – My Son Sanctuary.

So, My Son is one of Vietnam’s most important cultural heritage sites, offering you a rare glimpse into the lives of the Cham people who lived here over a thousand years ago. Being with us in this trip, you take your chance to explore this evocative architectural ensemble. Moreover, we’ll study about the conventional materials used in construction, such as wood, brick, and stone. Since then, we admire the talent, skillful hands and art of work made by artisans of Cham people.

We then later take you to enjoy a very unique show: the Apsara dance show where you can have an impression on their lifestyles and their costumes.

We then driver back to Hoi An for lunch and afternoon following with our city tour of Hoi An. Therefore, a half-day walking tour of the ancient town would be fantastic. As we begin our walking trip by visiting Phuc Kien community house, Tan Ky ancient commercial house, Japanese covered Bridge, and Phung Hung ancient trading house to learn about the ancient city of Hoi An.

Then we’ll pay a visit to a lantern making home. You’ll thus learn about the history of this long tradition craft, then learn how to shape, and choose color of lanterns, as well as the various steps of their creation. After that, you’ll be shown how to decorate and build up your own lantern. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An Farming and Fishing Tour

So, we will kick off our Hoi An Farming and Fishing Tour with riding our bikes through the rice fields, taking in the rustic views of farmers caring to their crops and water buffalo plough the fields. Then, we will make our first stop at Tra Que Vegetable Village. This organic vegetable and herb garden is so well-presented that provides fresh produce to most of Hoi An’s markets. Here, we will learn the traditional ways for planting and watering crops here, with everyone getting in on the action.

Next, we ride our bikes down palm-lined paths through paddy fields, passing flocks of ducks scrabbling up muddy banks and water buffalo grabbing forty winks in the shade. Then our second activity is a water buffalo riding, thus you will have a great experience.

Continue our trip, we are heading to a rice field and learn how to use a wooden cart to plough and rake the field. Next, we go to his house and will thresh the rice seeds from the plant; mill to have the best rice quality.

After having lunch here with the host, we move forward to Thu Bon river and start to have a boat trip on the river. Following that, we jump on a fishing boat and learn how to cast fishing net into the river. Luckily, we hope that you catch some fish for yourself.

To end the day tour, we then try to paddle bamboo basket boat which is unique in this area. Therefore, the boat man will instruct you how to make it go and even performance his show by spinning the basket boat around. You might feel a bit dizzy but you truly have unforgettable moments with us.

Finally, we will cycle back to the hotel and you will have free time.

Day 7: Hoi An – Hue – Hue Citadel

Amazing Hai Van Pass

Leaving Hoi An for Hue today, our North and Central Vietnam Tours keep going with a private car transfer to Hue ancient capital.

First, we will go by the Hai Van Pass which offers the best winding beachfront road in Vietnam. As you know, this world-famous spot offers a thrilling ride through stunning scenery spanning from mountain to blue sea, which is normally bathed in mist. Arriving on the summit, we will make stop for you to see 19th-century gates and military bunkers as well as grab scenic panoramic views. Day 8: Hue city tour

Thien Mu Pagoda – Hue

We will continue kick off our North and Central Vietnam Tours with a boat cruise on the Perfume river and you can watch the daily life of the local people on both sides. Upon reaching Thien Mu Pagoda, we then get off the boat and walk up few stairs and pay a visit to one of the oldest pagodas in Hue.

The name of this Buddhist temple from the 17th century comes from a narrative about “the celestial queen.” Located in front is the majestic 21m-tall Phuoc Duyen Tower, one of Hue’s unofficial trademarks, sits atop a mild hill beside the Perfume River.

Inside the complex are some worshiping structures, as well as a memorial to Thich Quang Duc, a monk who burnt himself to protest the war in 1963.

Following up on our tour, we then head our trip to the Nguyen Emperors’ Mausoleums: Tu Duc Mausoleum and Khai Dinh Mausoleum.

Khai Dinh Mausoleum – Hue

First is Khai Dinh Tomb, this mausoleum, erected in 1925 and leaning against a mountain upstream of the Perfume River, is for the burial of Khai Dinh Emperor. Among the seven Imperial graves, it is noted for being the longest, most expensive, and most elaborate one. The worshiping hall’s interior is stunning, with beautiful ceramic mosaics, luxurious furniture, and wonderful fresco painting. To explore, you must first climb 127 steep stairs up.

Tu Duc Mausoleum – Hue

Finally, we then sightseeing more romantic Asian style – Tu Duc Tomb. Between 1864 and 1867, Emperor Tu Duc started to build the estate as a summer residence to rest with his concubines due to its natural hillside and riverbank environment. The Tu Duc Tomb therefore features a large lake as well as more than 50 palaces, pavilions, temples, and shrines, provides a relaxing ambiance for visitors interested in learning about the Nguyen Dynasty’s history.
