Day 1: Airport Pick up
The guide will meet you at Da Nang airport then transfer to Hoi An ancient town for hotel check – in. Leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2: My Son Sanctuary
We will start off the day by a drive 60km to the south west of Hoi An where you can see the ruins of My Son Holy Land. My Son is the only place where Cham art flourished from the 7th to the 13th century. In a lush green valley of around 2 km in diameter, there are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from the 7th and 13th centuries. My Son was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in Dec 4th, 1999.
At arriving, we wander around and pay a visit to many groups of A, B, C, D, E, F of My Son Hindu temples. We by the way admire the talent of Cham people and feel admirable how could they build temples using no mortar or cement. In addition, we got a chance to enjoy Cham dance show in the theatre to know their daily activities. On the way back, we stop at a rice-paper making house where the host will explain different steps in making rice noodles and crackers. And you can try on your own. We then go back to hotel afterwards.
Day 3: Biking and Cooking Class
In the morning, meet you up at the hotel and start biking tour to Cam Thanh village. Taking few pictures before getting on coracle (basket) boat to get into water coconut forest and catch some purple crabs. You also know the history of this area. Then we continue biking to Tra Que village where the locals grow many kinds of herbs here like coriander, basil, cabbage, spring onion…Following the tour with foot massage before joining cooking class with the host to make local dishes such as “Tam Huu”, pancake…Having a nice lunch here then we cycle back to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will have free time.
Day 4: Free day
Today is free at your leisure.
Day 5: Hue Transfer – Hue Imperial city
Today, we come to meet and directly transfer you to Hue, on the way we go by Da Nang city, the Pass of the Ocean Clouds (Hai Van Pass), Lang Co fishing village. Arrive in Hue, visit Imperial city which is an area of 500ha and a system of three circles of ramparts, namely from outside to inside: Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel). This construction started in 1805 and completed in 1832. Under Nguyen Dynasty, the Kings had ordered to build ramparts, palaces and constructional works for royal. Over 200 years to now, it is still original with nearly 140 small and large constructions. After that, have lunch in a local restaurant before we go to hotel to check in.
Day 6: Hue city tour – boat trip
The sun rises by car transfer to Tu Duc Tomb with sophisticated architecture, charming landscape and is one of the most beautiful tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty. This tomb was used by the Emperor Tu Duc in life as Summer Palace and spiritual retreat. It covers an extensive area of 12 hectares with nearly 50 constructions, including lakes, mounts, palaces, pavilions, temples, altars, etc. On the way back, you might have a stop looking at incense and conical hat – making factory.
Perfume river boat trip
We then go by car to the pier to have boat cruise on Perfume river where you can enjoy landscapes of the river. After that, we visit one of the beautiful pagodas and religious centers of Hue – Pagoda of Heavenly Lady (Thien Mu Pagoda). Built in 1601 between a river and a pine forest, Thien Mu Pagoda is one of the oldest and prettiest religious buildings in the country. Among the many interesting artifacts housed at the complex is the car that took the monk Thich Quang Duc to his self-immolation in 1963 in Saigon.
Finally, the guide and driver will take you back and you can have a short stop at a traditional An Hien garden house in Hue. The house used to be owned by one of the highest mandarins in Nguyen Dynasty and is set in a beautiful green garden with many fruit trees. You can walk around, taking some pictures before we are heading back to the hotel.
Day 7: Airport Transfer
Checking out and wait for airport transfer to Hue airport for your departure flight. End of services.
