Trang Tien Bridge – Hue city

Hue is now a peaceful and beautiful city in Central Vietnam. Hue’s history is quite astounding, and even locals find it difficult to recall. In over 400 years (1558–1945), it was the capital of 9 Nguyen Lords and 13 Nguyen Kings, and it is today home to some of the most remarkable feudal remains. Hue has preserved its culture and intangible heritages, which contain Vietnam’s wisdom and character. The soul of nation has converged here throughout the centuries to produce a wonderful natural image with romantic river and charming mountain. As a result, Hue is known for its palaces, temples, towering tombs, and other prominent sights in Vietnam…

To help you explore Hue city from Chan May port, Premium Travel Vietnam organize Chan May Port Shore Excursion to Hue City.

Reaching Hue city, our car and the guide will transfer you to Hue Citadel, a huge complex built by Nguyen Dynasty. This massive complex has 3 walled cities: Citadel, Imperial city and Forbidden city. Nguyen Dynasty built this as royal homes and residences for royal family between 1802 until 1945. The Hue citadel also witnessed big battles in Tet Offensive in 1968 and many original buildings have gone but some of them still remain.

On arrival, we stroll around and pay a visit to Imperial city Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Royal Theatre, Truong Sinh Residence ect. You will have an insight into royal life and activities.

Leaving Hue Citadel, we then proceed our Chan May Port Shore Excursion to Hue City to Thien Mu Pagoda (also called Heavenly Lady Pagoda). This is beautiful spot built right on small hill overlooking the Perfume river. The pagoda was built in 1601 and Nguyen Emperors went here to write poetry. Later on, if you plan to taste some of Hue’s specialties, then the guide will recommend you a good restaurant for lunch.

Finally, we will have car drive to sightseeing the royal tomb of Tu Duc Emperor. At arriving this place, we will walk around and visit the resting place of the Nguyen Emperor. Thus, the tomb was built from 1864 to 1867 and became the summer resort, second home and final resting place for Emperor Tu Duc. It also played a role of entertainment compound as well away from busy job in the Citadel. The tomb has 2 separate parts and has strong Feng Shui influences with all little hills, temples, worshiping places… This is worth visiting place for every traveler coming to Hue city.
