DA NANG CITY TOUR ITINERARY:
In the morning we will come to meet you up at the hotel and we then begin our Da Nang City Tour. We are first off to Linh Ung Pagoda in Son Tra Peninsula to visit Vietnam’s highest Lady Buddha statue (67m).
Upon reaching, we stroll around and pay a visit to Goddess of Mercy statue. Thus, the whole complex was built in 2009 and has become the important tourist attraction of Da Nang. Moreover, this spot is an ideal place for the local people of Da nang to come and worship. From this location, you can have a panorama of Da nang city with all high rises and beautiful coasts.
Next, our Da Nang Private City Tour continues to sightseeing Linh Ung Pagoda. So, in front there is beautiful garden with all bonsai trees. If you want, you can make a donation and burn incense.
Following our Da Nang City Tour Half Day, we then drive you to pay a visit Cham Museum in Da Nang city center. Therefore, the museum was built in 1917 and has the nicest collection of Cham Hindu sculptures. The Cham Kingdom which existed in a long time in central Vietnam had really strong Indian influences. Thus, the Cham people who followed Hindu had built lots of Hindu temple to reflect Indian culture and carved lots of Hindu statues by the way. Later on, the Kingdom was over and taken over by Vietnamese invaders and the French had seen this valuable sculptures and decided to bring all these masterpieces into the museum.
At arriving, we then walk around and visit this beautiful artifacts carved by skillful hands of the Cham people. Through some statues displayed here, you will know more about the Hinduism in Vietnam and have a deep understanding about Indian Hindu Gods. So, you can find some Gods such as Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, Parvatti, Ganesh….
As you are going up the stairs, you can admire some pictures of Cham people who live nowadays in southern part of Vietnam. Through this gallery collection, you will know more about how the people live and maintain their diversified culture. Upon finishing, we then have a car transfer to Marble Mountains.
So, this spot is one of prettiest places in Da Nang. In the past, the local people had mined marble from the mountain and established their traditional marble carving job. In the war time, the site played a strategic army base, also a hiding place and a temporary hospital for the local people. Today, Marble Mountains are well known for its Buddist sanctuaries, temples, pagodas and pretty caves. Once coming here for an adventure, one will never forget.
Thus, the spot has five marble peaks that represent five elements of universe. They are Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire), Kim (metal) and Tho (earth).
On arriving here, we will come up by the elevator and then wander off around and see 7-storey Xa Loi Pagoda. From here, you can see lovely Non Nuoc beach and beautiful resorts. Next, we are heading to Linh Ung Buddist Temple. There is a big Buddist statue close by and even a Buddist monastery where the monks live and practice their religion.
We keep going our Da Nang Private City Tour by climbing up at Van Thong cave to conquer Heaven Gate. At the end, you can see how pretty the area is! We then walk down and see the nicest cave of Marble Mountains – Huyen Khong cave that was the former hospital in Vietnam war. This cave is amazing with all little shrines, all smoke come up mixing with incense and sunlight creating such a solemn atmosphere.
After exploring this cave, we then walk up few stairs and enjoy our view at River-watching tower built by the Emperor Minh Mang in 1837. From here, you can see other 4 marble peaks and the whole Marble Village.
